Charlie (Charles) Watson will be the Interim Director of Emergency Medical Services, effective July 1, 2012, says Dare County Public Information Officer, Dorothy Killingsworth. Watson, who is currently one of two deputy directors, has been employed with Dare County since 1982. He will be replacing William "Skeeter" Sawyer, who is retiring after 36 years of service to the county.
