NAGS HEAD, N.C. - Diane Heitmann of Milford, N.J., was named winner of the Pets category in the 2011 Outer Banks Photo Contest, sponsored by Outer Banks-based Village Realty.
Heitmann's photo, submitted in the Fluffy and Fido category, depicts her golden retriever resting on the sand with a stars and stripes beach ball. The photo was taken on July 4th on the Outer Banks.The Village Realty judges, especially the dog lovers, fell in love with the photo. The photo will be used on the www.petfriendlyobx.com website.
As winner in the Pets category, Heitmann received $150 toward a stay in a Village Realty's Outer Banks vacation rental home in 2012.
