NAGS HEAD, N.C. - Alex Bulow of Gibsonia, PA, is the Grand Prize winner of the 2011 Outer Banks Photo Contest, sponsored by Outer Banks-based Village Realty.Bulow's photo - "First Sunset at The Waterfront Shops in Duck, NC" - was entered in the Knock Our Socks Off Sunrise or Sunset category. The photo depicts a sunset reflected in his baby daughter's sunglasses. It was taken during the Bulows' first visit to the Outer Banks.
The originality of the composition won over the judges from Village Realty. "This photo was the front runner right from the beginning," the judges commented. "From the crabby sunglasses to the expression on this little girl's face to the beautiful sunset reflected in those glasses, we just loved it."
As Grand Prize winner, Bulow received a free off-season week in one of Village Realty's Outer Banks vacation rental homes.
