Donations for New Jersey and New York

To contact us Click HERE
As we all know, our friends to the North, who have helped us on numerous occasions after a storm, now need our help. Donations are being accepted at Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church this week. A truck will be going to NJ to drop off what is collected and the goods will then be distributed to NY and NJ.
Many of us have friends and family in the areas so terribly hit. If we can't be there to help, this can be our way to support them. Please consider donating diapers, wipes, formula, towels, blankets, sleeping bags, socks, paper towels, toilet paper, bleach, canned food (with pull tops) - anything that we have needed after a storm, they need.
Look in your pantry. Do you see an unopened jar of peanut butter or jelly? Do you see some little cups of apple sauce? Are there granola bars in there? Is there an extra package of snacks that you would give to your child? Please consider dropping these things off at KHUMC to be sent to our friends to the North. They need these things. Quite possibly more than we do.
Let's show our thanks for all of the help that we have been given in the past. Many of you have been volunteering your time to help local organizations get back on their feet, and have been donating canned goods for the food bank, but if you have an extra package of wipes or some old blankets that you don't use that might keep someone warm, or anything, please consider sending it to those who need it.
Donations are being accepted until Thursday November 8. Please mark your donations "Hurricane Sandy - New Jersey." The truck leaves on Friday morning, so please be sure to keep the deadline in mind. If you are unable to drop off at this location, please get in touch with me and we can work out other arrangements.
THANK YOU so much in advance.
